Joyce,
I can hardly wait for the book and now my curiosity is totally peeked. I
may have to journey to the desert just to see these wonders.
Back in my days of wedging oxides into clay, I had of course made several
test tiles and had high hopes for a few combinations. One disaster in
particular did not come out even close in color, and the clay actually
looked like it was boiling under the glazed. I called it "Nuclear Bowl". A
man that bought all the best early work I produced, bought it. He thought
it was great. It's just got to be "in the eye of the beholder".
