I visited the York Museum in 1987, climbed to the second floor and was thrilled to find a large room of pots by Bernard Leach, Shoji Hamada, Michael Cardew, Katharine Pleydell-Bouverie, W. Staite Murray and others ... well over 100 pots. The collection was titled Modern Stoneware Pottery, the Milner-White Gift.
I bought a brown paper list of the pots with a brief description of each but at the time there was no catalogue with photos. Does anyone know if one has been published since then? It was a marvelous collection, quality pieces by wonderful potters.
