It is said that Whistler used to sneak into museums or galleries where
his paintings
were hanging and make changes...years after they had left him. Maybe
apocryphal ...Elca

is the hardest thing to do on this earth.

just a thought.

bisque.
long, long, long...slow.
it is the best way.

think of painting.

take a stick with hair on the end
take some color
smear it around til you make people
think you are important.
then, you find you are not.

then smear some more paint around.
never is correct.
'smear it around some more.
geez.
hard.

Thank you Mel for these words.

In 1996 I stopped painting. I developed myself pretty nice in my new
art.
Yet it disturbs me. I have the easel around as well as the watercolor
box.
I am a painter who "cerams"
My great love to colors moved to glazing.
Were I learned ceramics there were people who made great works and
ruined them with wrong using of the stains.
The art of painting or the science of painting & composition teaches
you to draw paint composition relation ship between parts of your work
and if you do it right you know that not all parts of your work should
have the same impotence and look.
Try to make a sculptor, tea pot and try later to draw or paint it.
What is easier? To make the 3d or to imagin it?
The three ceramic software I bought from Tony Hansen Fraser Forsythe
and Lawrence Ewing helped me a lot so was the connection to the
net&clayart.
So was my teacher.
No dought, if I would not paint before I became a potter/ceramic artist
life would be harder.
Art is a language with many dialects

That answer that opened this thread "If you don't want to test look for
another art" I don't remember who sent it. I would like to say to the
sender: Print it attach it to your computer screen. The next time you
have a problem, before you post it to the list read your words and
think : was I smart?

For the ultimate in "gotta get it right the first time"... try
watercolors..... you just can't come back and smear more around!
