I haven't yet ordered the new "advancer" shelves ....... seems like =
anything that costs THAT much needs a little thought ... AND because my =
shelves that came with the Geil kilns are in good condtion even after =
all the abuse they received, due I think to discovering the benefits of =
ITC via Clayart. All those runny rutile glazes that I insisted on =
applying must have been applied way too thick since they only looked =
like a kind of sparkly tan on the pots .... with glimmers of blues, =
lavenders etc .... but were absolutely stunning on the shelves. Even =
with a layer of ITC brushed on the shelves, the glaze was soo thick that =
#1 Support Person had to dig, scrape and drill to remove some of the =
spots.... not true for all, though; some glaze flows just popped right =
off. However..... and the reason that I'm posting ..... is that=20
(until this moment) with all my overfires, runny glazes, opening kiln =
doors while kiln is still Very Hot, and other misadventures ..... I've =
never had a shelf warp .... not once (until now... fingers crossed, salt =
over shoulder). Talking to other local potters who have the same =
shelves and have had many of them warp, I've concluded that the =
difference must be the ITC.

In the Mojave where I've been informed we have NO cranberries in the =
house.... I'm not sure how many bags I bought over the last couple of =
weeks, but apparently I got carried away when the wild rabbits seemed to =
enjoy them so much .... beats the dry sticks they formerly preferred, =
being Big Ol' Desert Rabbits, after all...... so no cranberry sauce .... =
we have lots of eggnog (the real stuff) and too much brandy ... maybe =
they won't notice the cranberrylessness of our meal......
