hi everybody
When I was a teenager, I saw the work of great artists
and said "I want to do that."But no matter how many
times i tried, my work amounted to a pile of garbage.
Evenually it hit me, great art doesnt come from
lightning bolts or inspiration or what ever you want
to call it. it comes from HARD work, paying your dues.
then I just considered everything an exercise until I
could look at it and say, "ok now i'm getting
somewhere."
If I had gone into class one day at the art school and
said"sorry I didnt finish the assignment, I didnt have
the proper motivation."They would have laughed me out
of the building.
A highschool teacher said once too, "If you cant do it
twice you're not an artist."Meaning you better have
the technical skill to back up what you are doing.
Happy new year
Pat

The other wonderful truth is that the doing eventually becomes the reward
with the results being a cherry on top of the sundae.
