Hi All,
I am a hobbyist in a number of different things among them pottery =
and bonsai. I kind of got into pottery through the back door, I started =
into bonsai and found that no one in my area carried bonsai pots. So, =
having played around with clay in high school (lo these many years ago) =
I could just make my own pots. "Heck, how hard could it be?", I said to =
myself. Strange how it wasn't quite as easy as I remembered, as a matter =
of fact a lot of my stuff would have gotten a rather poor grade in grade =
school. Se here I am years later, reading all these posts on clayart, =
scouring the web for info and pictures and practicing making pots I can =
live with. I enjoy reading all of your posts and many talk of what their =
glaze looks like or their clay body and many go to the trouble of =
posting to the web somewhere so we can see.=20
What I would like to suggest would be a clayart gallery where anyone =
on clayart can post pictures for comments, advice, suggestions or just =
bragging. The IBC (Internet Bonsai Club) has a gallery where they can =
post pictures (which includes bonsai pots). I just thought this would be =
another way that we could share.

Harry, I'm with you on this. It is surprising that even with many having
their own websites, that in a highly visual field such as ceramics, that
there is not a Gallery to post, share and critique work.
As you may know, I am a frequent participant of the Internet Bonsai
Galleries. How about posting some of your bonsai pots there?

Um Hello? You guys, Janet Kaiser has been hosting the Unofficial Clayart
Website (UCAWS) for at least a year now. If you want to participate, do so.

Hi Luis,
I see your posts to the bonsai list quite often and have seen your pots
on the bonsai gallery and am quite jealous. So now my next big decision is,
do I save my pennys and nickels for a wheel or digital camera?
As soon as I work up the nerve to display some of my work I'll do that.
I have been informed that there is indeed a place for picture sharing.
Janet Kaiser has made a site for this purpose - SUCAWS, the
Strictly Unofficial ClayArt WebSite: www.clayart.fsnet.co.uk
Thank you for the info Snail and My apologies Janet, I should have noticed
this before. I will peruse your site at my earliest opportunity.

If you look on the Potter's Portal in the Clayart Potters section you
will find the web sites of most of the Clayart members who have one.

Hi Susan,
If you are talking about the spring gallery that I've been putting up, you
can visit it at:
http://www.lightonecandle.com/clayartgallery.html
If you want to submit images of your work, you can send them to me at
candle@intrex.net.
You may send up to three images. If you are familiar with image editing,
you can crop your photo, size it to 400 pixels high, and compress to 30K or
less. If you don't know how to do this, don't worry, just send me the
images raw.
