I used to smack the bottoms of my wedged cones, too. Ouch! Now I roll =
the bottoms in a circular motion on the wedging board to round them off. =
Much easier on my wrists.
Carole Fox - off to glaze many bowls. My least favorite thing. =
Especially bowls that are bigger than my glaze buckets.
