Dear Aliakbar Heidari,
Further to our correspondence relating to Resinate Lustres and the =
Chemistry of formation of these materials.
There are several publications, articles, patents and papers which =
contain information dating back to the early nineteenth century written =
in English, German, Arabic and Russian. To find these you will need to =
do a literature search. A good place to start is the work of Allan =
Chemistry Smith, published in England under the title of "Lustre =
Pottery" published by Faber and Faber, 1985.
To the best of my knowledge, no one had defined the chemical processes =
which enable Gold or other metals to dissolve in Rosin, nor do there =
seem to be any published chemical equations which describe these =
processes. You may need to search other fields of knowledge outside the =
boundaries of Ceramics to find the information you desire. One clue is =
that it has been known for several hundred, perhaps thousands of years, =
that Rosin has an ability to dissolve oxides from the surface of copper =
and it's alloys, allowing lead-tin solders to wet and alloy to the =
surface, so that these metals can be joined in the process of soldering. =
It is speculation on my part to suggest that painting a solution of the =
residues of this process on pottery might have lead to the discovery of =
Lustre in the region of the Tigris-Euphrates Basin.
I suggest you discuss these things with your study supervisor and seek =
his or her guidance.
Best regards,

Besides the work and writings of Alan Caiger Smith, an Australian, Greg
Daly, works extremely successfully with resinate lustres. He might be of
help as well.
