Silicon Carbide shelves ( some of them) will conduct electricity =
........AND if the kiln stack should collapse or move AND a shelf or =
shelves made contact with the elements.. THEN the potter and the kiln =
would be in a DISASTER situation.... anmd I for one would not like to =
think of the possible results. Ultimate safety dictated that no object =
should be placed in a position where it can cause a short circuit by =
contacting live electrical wiring or elements.
If Silicon Carbide shelves which will conduct electricity are used in an =
electric kiln..then the potter is introducing a potential hazard which =
is unnecessary and easily avoided. Work Safe...........GWYN in N.Z.
