does anyone have experience in refiring a piece of majolica? i have a piece
where the glaze crawled and the terracotta shows through. i spent a butt
load of time on this piece so would like to save it. i know the answer will
be "TRY IT" but just this once couldn't someone just cheat and answer the
question. tia

Yes, you can refire it. Majolica glaze doesn't "move" much so it can be
refired easily.
Crawling is a common problem especially if there was a surface blemish
like a scratch from grog.
Just fill the space with thicker glaze (like off the side of the bucket)
pack it into the area and refire.
Best of luck,
