Speaking of "throwing bowl(s)", if you go here, you can see the old/(new to
me) Seto bowl I bought today to replace my copper throwing water bowl ("hand
water bowl"/te mizubachi.)

Notice that it was stack fired and crushed stone was put on the inside where the
bottom of the other pot would sit. Also, it has no trimmed foot, was just cut
off. The lip is interesting too. It is rolled over and makes it easy to
handle when full of throwing water.
