Help..!
I have been firing propane for years successfully, but recently moved and
cannot seem to get the temperature top to bottom evened out - top being hot.
New data to consider...
I am now +/- 1500 feet higher in altitude (in Colorado). I also have a
higher water column inches pressure - it went from 11 to 13. Same orifice
size.
What I have tried...
raise/ lower chimney
open/close flu
open /close primary air
slow down firing schedule
vary lighting sequence
varied combinations of all of these ideas
This is a kiln that has fired to within 3 degrees top to bottom and is now a
good day to get it within 100 degrees difference. My next attempt is maybe
orifice size should be smaller. I you agree got any idea how much?
Any insight would be appreciated as the wholesale market is in later Feb and
hopefully I will have work to do after that.....
Thanks,
Polly
