Hi,
Many of you responded to my question about pit firing and breakage with what
turned out to be a real wealth of information for me that will be extremely
valuable.
I'm now thinking of underglazes and glazes for my pit fired work and realize
that I have absolutely no idea what kind of temperatures I'm going to reach,
which, of course, makes it really difficult to select the products.
My first pit is no 60cmx60cmx90cm deep. I want to test firing using sawdust
and then using wood. So my quesiton is: do any of you have any ideas about
what kind of temperatures I might reach this way?
