Craig and others -
Well, vinegar and antifreeze will of course do completely different things.
But there is no problem at all in using antifreeze as long as you use the
non-toxic propylene glycol antifreeze. A gallon does not cost much, and it
is a great medium for making slips and glazes flow more smoothly for brush
or squeeze-bulb application. If you have a bakery-supply store or
commercial food supply business in your area you might be able to get bulk
pure propylene glycol by the gallon or five-gallon. That's what's inside
Hostess Twinkies and other cheap "cream"-filled pastries.
Best wishes -

Vince, thanx for the info, and to others, I stand corrected (o the shame).
Not all that sure about the toxicity though. Those twinkies have done some
pretty strange things to the lab rats they've been tested on. Which reminds
me, I think I'll throw my diet to the wind and head over to the local Tasty
Cream donut shop this morning.
