Hello all,
I just read Jonathan's comments on grog and thought I should add that
I've been using Ione Grain for grog for over 20 years and find it to be
a fine product. I believe it is a "known formula calcine", but I'm not
positive. It's always white and quite vitrified. I do screen it to
remove a few oversize chunks. It is produced (or was) by North American
Refractories (NARCO).
Jonathan, can you comment on this product? Have you used it or do you
know anything about it?
Also, I agree that crushed hadbrick is some nasty stuff, not appropriate
for my purposes.
From Paul in Doyle, where we are getting much wanted rain.

I have known about Ione Grain/Ione Grogs for some time but have not had the
necessity of using it with Mulcoa products on the market. A colleague in
Denver recently mentioned that a certain Ione product was no longer
available. I know that Laguna is a supplier of Ione products. Perhaps John
Pacini (sorry if I mis-spelled your name) at Laguna would off a comment
also?
