Hey Arti:
That's the issue. Grolleg fires very white which is why it serves as the
base for some porcelain blends that you see on the market. Add ball caly to
it, especially the wrong ones and you compromise the translucency. Its a
trade off.
There is talk of a new imported French kaolin much like Grolleg but more
plastic that will soon be on the US market. Thats all I know at this time.
I would be remiss in my judgement if I would suggest that you could add
something to an already existing formulated body to make if more
translucent.
