Just in case there are some Clayarters who aren't aware that any message can be replied to privately, I thought this might be useful.
To reply to a list message privately, ( at least in Outlook express) right click on the person's name, click on Properties, and a box pops up, with the e-mail address.

The easier way...at least to me is to simply cut the address form the header
on the reply itself...it is there just under the words -----Original
Message----- If you do not want the reply to go to Clayart, just cut Ceramic
Arts Discussion List from the "to:" line and paste the original posters
address there, or if you want it to go to both, add a comma, then past the
original posters address after...

Simple, (no pun intended...forgive me!)

Tommy

Tommy
That's true, definitely the easiest way to go for a private reply, b=
ut you
have to have your e-mail set for
=ABinclude message in reply =BB
for that to work. I don't have mine set up that way - I think it was=
Mel
who suggested that including the entire original message in the repl=
y was
=2E.. unnecessary.
My method was for those who don't have box checked to include message=
in
reply.
