I read this post with great interest. Have you not picked up a ceramic trade
magazine and seen L&L Kilns advertised? They are advertised heavily. I never
got the feeling Steve was promoting his products on ClayArt. In fact, I have
felt comfortable reading the informative posts from Steve to this list. So
comfortable I contacted him off line about an L&L kiln I saw for sale in our
local classifieds. I emailed him on a Friday night and he was back to me
before 9:00 Saturday morning with helpful information and all sorts of PDF
files to go with the kiln in question. I did buy the kiln and am quite happy
with it. What I am more happy with is that the people, like Steve, in the
ceramic supply business are gracious enough to help when you need help and
are not even considering, at the moment, purchasing a product that they sell.
We are lucky to have these people monitor ClayArt and volunteer to help.

When I started in this business something like ClayArt, where potters and
suppliers could come together for their mutual good, was only a potters
impossible dream.

Off my soap box
