All,

Please, the page under discussion was not intended as a professional
job.

I think JBS was merely trying out a nice new digital camera, and maybe
some software that came with its own backgrounds.

He announced to us a couple of weeks ago that he had tried out the
camera and thought it took good pictures. He put some up at his
college's site to let us see the results, and, while he was at it,
sure enough, to let us see some of the work he and his collegues had
made.

I feel a bit badly that any comments being directed to that particular
web site, since I reposted the URL, and I'd rather we just talked
about web page backgrounds in general.

Changing the subject line could be helpful for this, and so would not
being too specific about what trigged the thoughts on web page
design.

Finally, I see thousands of web pages a month, and yes, I agree that
it is always a relief to arrive at one that is restful to the eyes
enough to prevent psychic irritation, yet stimulating enough on the
other hand to catch and hold my interest.

Sincerely,

Helen
