ian currie glaze workshops - 2 more workshops needed

updated sat 2 feb 02

Ian Currie on fri 1 feb 02

Greetings all.

The next tour is almost put together, though I need a couple more workshops
in the latter half.

I will be touring the US presenting glaze workshops between mid March and
mid May. The workshops are usually a 2-day weekend - we make several grids
of glazes and fire them overnight to assess the next day. This forms the
core of the weekend where I outline my Grid Method and use it to explain
glaze theory for the ceramic artist, meanwhile discovering some beautiful
glazes.

If anyone is interested in organizing one of these workshops, ***please
contact me off-list*** at:
ian@currie.to
Please do not e-mail me directly with itinerary requests at this stage, as
it is not finished, and some of the dates are still being changed. I will
provide a full itinerary soon to Clayart, and you will then be able to
directly e-mail the organizer for details.

You can find lots of stuff about my workshops if you search using my name in
the archive:
http://www.ceramics.org/clayart/
You must spell my name correctly to get the search to work! This does not
apply to Mel of course who can spell it any way he pleases.

If you are interested but not able to mount a workshop in the Spring, I am
currently putting together one in the Fall as well.

I have placed a lot about the Grid Method at my website:
http://ian.currie.to/
You can also buy both my books there:
"Revealing Glazes - Using the Grid Method", and
"Stoneware Glazes - A Systematic Approach"
If you pay by credit card it takes about a week to get to you in the US or
UK.

Regards

Ian
