Dear Jack,
Did you check the bases of all the pots? I had
that happen once, but in an electric. I had chips
on nearly everything (small kiln), and the only
damage I could find to any of the pots (other than
the chips, of course) was a chunk blown out of the
base of a "kid" cup.
