I was wondering what Paul Soldner's raku bowls were selling for these days? I have one that I was thinking of putting up for sell on eBay. I know that a couple of years ago in Atlanta at a cup show that Pete Voulkos's cups were priced at $6,000 apiece. Any ideas as to how to price the bowl would be appreciated. Jim

Hi,
I just hosted Paul Soldner in workshop in Orlando. He had shipped work to me
ahead of time for an exhibit. Well, he failed to price one of the tea bowls
so I called him to see if he had record of the piece and how much it was.
Paul said if it's a tea bowl measure it from the 2 farthest points and how
every many inches it was that equated to a $100 per inch. If it was a
sculpture it was $200 per inch.
The 3 tea bowls he had sent started at $400 and went to $600.
Hope this helps you!

Several years ago, I bought a small three sided thrown plate from =
Soldner at his home and studio in Aspen. I paid $120 for it. He was =
delighted that I found it because his daughter was managing his stuff =
and nothing was priced under $500. =20
