galleries or clay stuff around long island university?

Howdy folks,
Well I am headed to Long Island University for two quick days. While =
daughter #1 tours the campus wondered if there are any galleries or clay =
stuff in the area. Don't know anything about the area at all. =20

Hey Sandy, I don't remember exactly where LIU is, but
if you're anywhere near Bayshore, stop in at Earth
N'Vessel. It's a co-op, gift shop and teaching studio.
I was a member there before I moved to California, and
now, South Carolina. The gift shop has pieces made by
the co-op members, and a few of them regularly go to
workshops at Haystack, etc. It's a sweet little place.
I can't say that I miss Long Island, but I miss the
co-op, and all of the fantastic people in it. Have
