Greetings,
I just acquired an old wheel, the plaque reads:
The Craftool
Ceramics And Gem Cutting
Craftools, Inc, New York
Has anyone ever heard of this thing, seen one,
owned one, have any information? Can't seem
to find anything, anywhere...
I have also been presented with the opportunity
to basically rebuild a kiln... it's a Paragon model
P, the elements need to be replaced, the prongs
for the kilnsitter are missing, the control panel
was kinda detatched... I'm thinking about converting
it to propane/electric and experimenting with ^6
reduction... Am I insane? I'm sure that there's
lots of info in the archives about the conversion
process but does anyone have any recommendations
of someone I could talk to if I have questions or
problems? Has anyone in Ohio (Dayton, Columbus,
or Cincy) done this successfully who would be
willing to entertain a visit from a curious potter?
