I've been wondering if ice crystals in glaze can cause problems. I had =
my mixed batches of glazes in the cold room. When I used them last =
week, I let them sit in the warmer air until they thawed, stirred the =
glaze well, and used it.
I had pinholes on those pots. The pots had been cleaned and dust-free, =
and this firing was especially slow both up and down, with a soak of 1/2 =
hour. Too slow, too long because some stuff ran like mad.
Could be the pinholes had nothing to do with the ice crystals in the =
glaze, but it did leave me wondering.
