What is the minimum height a telephone line can be above the chimney of =
a small (10cu ft) downdraft gas kiln?

I think "NONE" would be a good idea. Don't put your chimney under anything.

Better check with the phone CO. You will probably be libel if something goes

Consider the possibility that the writer has no choice; in which case
the answers could be:
a) as far as possible.
b) why not crank the chimney to one side, preferably on the downwind
side of the prevailing wind, if any.
c) place a large cone cover above the chimney top to disperse the
exhaust.
