Does anyone know where to get info on the big tiles made in Japan. Years
ago, Ceramics Industry had an article about a Japanese company making 9
x 19 foot ceramic panels. USAA insurance has a mural using them at their
San Antonio headquarters and Robert Rauchenberg has used them in his
sculptures, but have they made it to the US as a raw material?
As I recall, the earliest article I saw said the process was originally
developed by a Korean potter using ball clay and calcium silicate (I
assume wollastonite) claybody in split extruded tubes.
