collecting toiletries at nceca

Hi, everyone.

I'll be collecting your unopened, unwanted toiletries in the clayart room in a
plastic bucket labelled "Sample Soap".

Please consider gathering any hotel soaps, etc, that you won't need & dropping them
off. Gather often... many hotels replenish the toiletries in your room each day! And
major hotel chains endorse this activity... when you rent the room, you buy the
toiletries. In fact, many states require that unused toiletries be discarded, unless
they have safety seals.

Not staying in a hotel? Feel free to grab some stuff from home & bring it with
you... unused make-up samples, those weird gifts of aftershave, whatever.

What will I do with all this stuff? Haul it back to Rochester, New York, where it
will be redistributed to Rochester's neediest citizens, including the homeless,
battered women, runaway youth, women & families in transition, rape victims, AIDS
shut ins and migrant workers.

If you want some background info, feel free to read the attached powerpoint document,
or visit our draft website.

See you in Kansas City!

Sabra Wood

ps - Mel, as owner of the clayart room, said this was ok with him.... even though i'm
not a real potter, just a wannabe dabbler ;-)

I'm not able to go to NCECA but I just wanted to say "bravo, what an
excellent idea". Kudos to you. I hope you get a ton of stuff. Be save and
have a fabulous time. Wish I was going. But alas I do have the stay at home
exchange to keep me inspired.
