spray booth dust capture

Hi all,

As a incorrigible motor head; I would not want to subject the bores of
my compressor to the highly abrasive glaze dust (especially if I did not
want to rebuild it) coming from the spray booth exhaust, just like I
would not subject my lungs to it either.

Furnace filters, IMHO, are not designed to filter out enough of the
clay/silica/feldspar/etc. dust for me. We moved out spray booth
outside and it exhausts up on the top of the roof level where wind
currents can carry the dust away after diluting it quite a bit. By the
way our spray booth has styrofoam baffles designed to knock out much of
the over spray while it is wet (read safe).

I have seen a system that sends the exhaust through filters and baffles
then exhausts it through more filters. A lot of effort, but perhaps
worth it.
