"little do-dahs" of that kind could be expensive. Try getting
one of those small speakers with a remote - the kind that
parents put in children's rooms, with the speaker in the
kitchen or wherever. They are inexpensive and work well.
Depends on distance, no doubt.

Well...
An ordinary wireless door chime could be kludged to do this quite
easily. Just wire the push button circuit into the kiln alarm and you've
got it.

The baby monitor is also a good solution. You can also hear when your pots
dunt!
