I had been making "Zen" sand gardens..... low flat bowls or rectangular
trays filled with sand accented with found stones, driftwood or ceramic sea
shells etc., and a small rake.
One morning (4am) I awoke with an idea the to give them themes. The first
one I have done is inspired by the excavations at Pompeii (ancient city in
S. Italy destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Obviously I have taken an idea "Zen sand garden" and warped it...... similar
to what the USA did with raku. I will not call then Zen sand gardens
I can send you a jpg.
