I am glad you commented on Jim Wunch's talk. I Just reported what I
heard. Didn't say I agreed with all of it.
Regarding Roman arches, etc., I wish someone would model the inside of
kilns in a "wind tunnel" sort of environment and evaluate gas movement. I
think all any of us have is empirical observation. I really would like to
know the "ideal" shape for a gas downdraft, whether natural draft or forced
air.
