One thing I don't like about the speckled moss is is
that it veils quite a bit. And that's partly the
funny thing about this: I've had trouble with the moss
bubbling a bit but it was quite obvious that it was
thick application, I accept that but this time it
happened also when I sprayed the moss--a very new
phenomenon and the other Laguna glazes (gloss black,
colonial white, oasis blue) I use give me no trouble.
Which is why I don't understand why this problem would
occur just on this color.

Dear Annd, I too tried Laguna's Moroccan Sand Cappocino and speckled
moss....great colors on my clays when they worked. However, the success was
short lived. When I called to ask, the tech wasn't helpful to me. Too much
emphasis on "maybe your pieces were dusty." NOT. I tried refiring and that
didn't help either. A friend who took a glaze course did a line test adding
clay in increments.....we finally gave up. Now I am mixing my own glazes
and having much more success. Also, that way, I will be able to find the help
I need when there is a specific problem. I am sure the glaze experts can
help you here, but my suggestion is to eventually move on to mixing your own
glazes if that is an option. I think Laguna has a new tech person now, and

Dear Toni, I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with our glazes. Could
you e-mail me or call me at 1-800-4-LAGUNA ext.229 Mon-Fri 8-4:30pm PST and
let me know exactly what the problem was. Hopefully we can resolve it for
you here. I'd really like to see you use the remainder of that Cappuccino

"When I was in elementary school my teacher pinned a note to my shirt for my
parents to read. It said, 'Charlene is not coloring inside the lines.' My
parents contacted the teacher and asked the teacher what the purpose of
coloring inside the lines was.' The teacher didn't quite know what to say,
except that the direction she had given was to color inside the lines. My
dad told me to color any way I wanted to and when I was done coloring, to
draw a black line around my picture." Charlene Felos, Ceramics Instructor -
