Hi:

Just about every shino glaze that I've seen has been a derivitive of Wirt's
Carbon Trap Shino developed in 1974 by Virginia Wirt at the U of
Minn. Gustin's is no different. Actually, I think Virginia originally
called the glaze University Carbon Trap.

Just my slanted view of things, Craig Martell in Oregon

Does anybody know the origins of Gustin Shino?

Thanks,=20

Gustin Shino is a shino recipe devised by Chris Gustin.
It's a good glaze, does some carbon trap, looks delicate
on porcelain. Pink/orange where thin, cream-white thick.
