After having an upper respiratory infection for 3 weeks, and now a =
gastro intestinal virus for 1 week I feel like taking life at a very =
slow pace until I get back to normal.

Lids. I really haven't done much about learning to throw lids. Does =
anyone know of any web sites with instructions on throwing lids? I know =
I could go to the library and get some books, but at this moment I =
haven't got the energy.

Give me a day or so, I'll email you a page with a variety of
lid-styles on it. You'll be able to see how they were made from
the drawings. Some are thrown right side up, some upside down.
They can also, of course, be handmade.

Dannon,

Can you put my e-mail address on that e-mail? I'm about to try my first
lid, and I would appreciate anything in the way of help.

Thanks for all the help you provide to listmates.

There are a few pages in Robin Hopper's 'Functional Pottery' that I have
found helpful in learning lid making. They are step-by-step instructions,
but do give different shapes, whether they're thrown upside down, off the
hump, etc. and what type of gallery they would fit in.

Take a look if you have a copy on hand.
