Ok Wyatt, you and the Earps win...... I'm here lying in the dust...shot full
of holes...feet in the air.
Must be that damn herbal tea!->

This is not an effort on my part to sound expert
or egotistical...please....
Just a point of view....about how I found the key to the doors
of gesture....it's a state of mind....
I am lost and frustrated with efforts at precision..
Just to put things in perspective.

I make 10 minute teapots...
I do all the throwing on the hump...
In order of form
lid
spout
handle...which is a short cylinder...an inch high
that I slice open...slice off the hump and stretch out
smooth..pull to soften the edge...a handle

body of the teapot....

I assemble everything immediately and it's done....
cut off the wheel and set on a board....
small efforts at cleaning up the forms at
soft leather hard.

The point of view is
touch the clay immediately...
do not fear the movement and gesture that results
it provides the keys to another journey of form
that is lively.

So......I could do 6 teapots in an hour...
In an 8 hour day...that's 48 teapots in a day....
but I drink coffee...not tea...
