Friends of Terra Cotta is another great nonprofit organization, for
those of you interested in architectural ceramics. They have a great
list of publications including a wonderful book "Terra Cotta Skyline" by
Susan Tunick.
FOTC is also very much involved with preservation and protection of
valuable and unique examples
of terra cotta clad buildings , especially in New York City. It is a
wonderful resource.

Quote from the website
"The Friends of Terra Cotta, Inc., a national, non-profit
organization, was founded to promote education and
research in the preservation of architectural terra cotta
and related ceramic materials. The organization seeks to
educate the general public and construction industry
professionals about architectural terra cotta's value and
history as a building material."

Just wanted to let you know about a small but vital non profit
organization run by Susan Tunick. "Friends of Terra Cotta "is concerned
with the history and preservation of American Architectural Terra
Cotta and Terra Cotta clad buildings.
Though primarily focused in New York City, the group does reach out to
other cities and is a fabulous resource, works to preserve important
old buildings which are in danger of being demolished and also has a
great book list , provides info on new books on the topic, and has even
published some of its own books and material.
The newsletter focusses on particular buildings of note, 'endangered',
'lost' and 'rescued ' historic buildings, and exhibits, resources,
events of note. It is a pretty bare bones newsletter, no glitz but lots
of good info, which is OK by me! I really admire the work that Susan
and this organization are doing
