A couple of things are happening here.
As Cindi pointed out when the report is generated, it is done with the document set up to use a proportional font.
Also, if the report is generated with tabs placed between columns, these are converted to spaces in a "ASCII" text file used by Clayart. An ASCII file has all formatting codes removed, and all text is converted to a monospaced font such as courier. A monospaced font assigns the same amount of space on a line to each letter, the "w" is given as much space as the "i".
If you are forcing the columns of numbers to appear to line up by typing in the spaces, these spaces are preserved when the proportional font is converted to a monospaced font, and the numbers then do dot line up. A space in a proportional font is not the same width as a space in a monospaced font.
The solution is to be sure the report is generated using a monospaced font such as courier as Cindi recommended. Then copy the report text into the body of the e-mail message set up to use the same monospaced font.
An interesting exercise is to type the same line of text several times on a page, and use a different font for each line. Inserting tabbed columns emphasizes these differences even more. Changing the "point" size of the font will also have an effect on how much space will be taken up by each letter on a line.
