Hate to rain on your parade, but why would anyone want to buy a used
Brent CXC for that amount when you can get a new one for nearly that?
Check CM for ads from Kickwheel Pottery and Bennet's Pottery Supply.
And they come with warranty.

I opened my mouth and inserted my leg on this one before knowing where
you were located. I'll bet $1225 is a reasonable price for a Brent CXC up
there, especially considering the exchange rates. I find that I often
forget that this is an International Thread before making a comment.
Sorry

Thank you for the apology Craig
It was very nice after the bombardment I received from folks.
Actually the price is quoted directly from Brent's www site down there in
the U. S. of A. I of course have no way of knowing how much the local shops
charge after paying Brent the wholesale price. Up here the wheel retails
for $1,750.00 at Pottery Supply House (www.pshcanada.com) which is
approximately $2,625.00 USD. That's what I paid four years ago plus 15%
taxes and shipping. Ouuuuuuuuuch!!!!!!!!!!
It's great to be Canadian!!!!!!!!!
Take Care

Ruth,
I've been thinking, your original post didn't say that you were in Canada. Reading
the post below, does shed a somewhat different light on the situation for you.
Given the circumstances, might it not be better (and a better bargain for the
buyer) to try selling the wheel in Canada to some one else in Canada? Then the
duty, tax, currency (whatever else) issues might not work against you AND the buyer
as much.

Hi Earl
I'm sure I'd love to sell my wheel to a Canadian for the reasons you have
stated. Since this is an international thread I assume that I might. I am
advertising the wheel in other venues, to be sure including Canadian. Thank
you for the input.
Take care
Ruth Jamieson
