When I started thinking about hooking up the tanks with a T, I went to home
depot and got two barbecue type regulators, regulator on the tank, T later.
Unfortunatelly I couldn't even get 1 psi through them...
I've called ward burners today to get an expert advice. They sell a system
that hooks up 3 tanks at the same time. 3 high pressure flexible hoses, run
to a junction, then to the regulator. I'm not too confident running
unregulater propane in flexible hoses myself, but I was told that this is a
safe and good solution, so I've ordered it.
Should I cancel the order?

having any propane tank, that does not have a regulator
is like carrying around a bag of cobras. (snakes)
it is dumb.
tank, regulator, hose, burner.
in that order. always.
if the hose is long...so better.
the regulator should be of the kind with a wheel or
handle to change the pressure to the burner.
i always turn off my burner at the tank end first.
let all the gas flow out of the system.
just makes sense.
course, some folks will not spend twenty cents on safety.
think the government should do it for them.
stupid.
it is your ass that will get blow'd up.

I don't think you should cancel your order. Call Marc Ward again for=20
further clarification. He IS an expert and I always enjoyed reading his=20

For anyone else doubting mel's words (no capitals, please!), there is an
interesting book to read. It is called "Inviting Disaster: Lessons from the
Edge of Technology (an inside look at catastrophes and why they happen)" by
James R. Chiles. It will get you thinking about safety systems, and
redundancy in them, in a way you havne't before. Very eye opening.
