I am looking for fiber board. I forget what it is called.
It is a insulating board, like kaowool, but compressed. I
tried the place where i have bought it in the past, but
alas, Cutter Firebrick seems to have gone the way of
Cutter Ceramics.
Anybody know where to look? Northeast...hopefully.
Judy

Judy, it used to be made by AP Green, but last I heard they were taken
over by an outfit called Harbison Walker. They may have been taken over by
someone else, perhaps Dresser industries. Try a local listing, in your are
able, for Harbison Walker, to begin with. Call the 1-555-1212 phone number
for local and national listings, it will cost you one dollar, and start
there.
If that doesn't work try a listing for a foundry supply or refractories
company in your area. Just look under foundry and/or refractories in the
yellow pages. I believe you may also do this on line at Yahoo.
If you don't live in a large city get the directory of the closest one.
While you can purchase the material from any of a number of ceramic stores
around the country going to the source of the material will save you money.
