First, a thank you to Nancy and Brant for answering my tile glazing =
question. Then, to report: I tested several of Ron & John's glazes. =
My results in summary form (and no particular order) are as follows: =20

Spearmint - great on Clay Art Center's Rainer (white stoneware). =
Unattractive or boring on WMP (off-white stoneware), Idaho Buff (tan =
stoneware), and Mile Hi's Ash (white stoneware) and Chestnut (very dark =
stoneware). =20

Fieldmouse: some potential on WMP, not appealing on others. =20

Bone: very nice (pale yellowish and off-white, good on carvings) on =
Ash, Rainer and WMP. OK on darker Buff and Chestnut. =20

Variegated Slate Blue: Great on Rainer, Ash and Buff. Worked well on =
top of Oatmeal. I liked it best single dipped. It was lighter and more =
satiny that way. Second dip on top makes for glossier, darker blue. =
Not good on Chestnut. Good in revealing carvings.

Bright Sky Blue: Has potential where double dipped. I think this is =
like Floating Blue and needs to be applied somewhat thickly, which I =
failed to do.Was interesting over Oatmeal on Buff, not attractive over =
Fieldmouse on WMP or Rainer.

Raw Sienna: generally nice on all clays, though again, I mixed too thin =
and will try again. Looked best where double-dipped - good color =
variation and nice sheen.

Oatmeal: I didn't find this attractive alone on most clays but bears =
testing in combination as noted above.

All tiles passed the 3-day vinegar test
