For 24 years now my Refrigerator has been a litle 1934 "Hotpoint".
It has allways run silently and sweet. Uses Sulphur Doixide as 'refrigerant'
and looks mighty good too.
The new ones (ie anything after maybe the 'I-Like-Ike' time of things) are
ugly, and in every way much less satisfying...I will never own one.
And shame on the mfgrs for making such junk.
Shame on people for buying junk and encourageing and rewarding them to do
more of it.
