I know this is the domain of "Gurus" ;^), but I just happen to have the
information here on my desk:
66.72 SiO2
18.56 Al203
0.18 Fe203
0.24 CaO
Trace MgO
10.42 K2O
3.48 Na2O
0.37 Ignition Loss
Good Luck!

Guru, shmuru! This list won't work if a dozen or so
people have to answer all the questions. For some
rarefied topics, perhaps only a few folks will know
the answer, and we're all grateful to have their
expertise available. But they don't know everything;
nobody does. And if someone knows the answer to a
question, then they should never feel out of line
in making a contribution to the list. Everyone has
their own area of expertise, whether it's glaze
chemistry, throwing technique, firing practices,
trucking and shipping, child rearing, horticulture,
tax law, birdwatching, hangnail cures, gallery
management, geology, propane accessories, or any of
the myriad clay-related and semi-clay-related
topics that make it onto the list. If Lee's got the
analysis of the subject material on hand, then he's
a guru for that purpose, (as well as for Japanese
contemporary practice, Mingei, Korean kickwheels,)
and whatever else he brings to the list as needed.
Same goes for everybody else.

Karen,
The analysis I have is as follows......
Na2O..........4.2
K2O..............9.8
CaO.............0.3
MgO............0.2
Fe2O3........0.1
Al2O3........19.1
SiO2..........65.3
LOI.............. 0.4
But it is quite OLD....... probably 20 years or so. =
It would probably get you in the right ball park for substitutions. It h=
as
worked pretty well for me in INSIGHT doing some conversions in the past.
Hope this helps. Maybe Lee over there in Mashiko right now has some
current info.
Best,
