Ok, for anyone that has tried to get one and hasnt been able to download it,
didnt get the SASE back or just found out,
Heres the last minute post for this show.
April 6th is the post mark, but if your in the ball park send it.
As long as Its there when I take the sldies to the Juror, Its there.
So get your stuff together and get yourself in a show.
If enough folks enter that there is danger of making$$ then there will be
prizes.
A great number of folks have contacted me complaining aobut the siaze
restriction. 12 inches in any direction apparently not beiing large enough
to be considered a decent bowl by some. To them I said, send it anyway, let
the juror decide. So I say it to you. there is no commission.

Eligibility
The competition is open to all artists residing in the United States. Work
must have clay as the primary medium. Works that vary appreciably from
submitted slide will be rejected at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
Size Limited to no more than 12 inches in any direction and weigh under 10
pounds
Fees
There is a non-refundable entry fee of $15 per artists for 2 works submitted
per artist. Additional Entries submitted at $5 per entry. Make Checks
payable to Leyshon Gallery. Fee must be included with entry form.
Slides
Submit 35mm transparencies, up to 2 views of each work. Identify artist
name, title, and size of each piece on each slide. Designate entry number
(entry 1 or 2) on each slide.
Agreement
o Leyshon Gallery reserves the right to reject works from exhibition that
are deemed extraordinarily fragile or unstable, and reserves the right to
reject works accepted by the juror, due to their content or inability to be
properly installed.
No Commission is taken from any sale.
o By submitting work for entry, the artist agrees to allow work to be
reproduced in any Gallery publicity.
o If work is accepted for exhibition, all required forms must be returned to
the Gallery by April 28, 2002.
Sales
Price lists will be available to the public. Artists must indicate NFS or
selling price for insurance purposes with a price limit of $100 per piece.
No Commission is taken from any sale.
Insurance
All work to be shown at Leyshon Gallery will be insured against fire, theft
and other hazards at Leyshon
Juror
Works will be juried by slide submission by
Kirk Mangus, Artist, potter and Professor of Art
at Kent State University.
Specifications
Works may not exceed 12 inches in any dimension and must weigh less than 10
pounds. Clay must be the primary medium. Necessary assembly and mounting
instructions and materials MUST be included with accepted works.
Rules
o All entries, consisting of entry forms, fees and slides, must be
postmarked no later than April 6th 2002
o All works must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
o The artist is responsible for shipping charges to and from Leyshon
Gallery.
o Payment of entry fees and submission of images for judging signifies the
artists understanding and acceptance of all rules and conditions of the
competition.
Shipping
o Artists are responsible for shipping charges to and from Leyshon Gallery.
Please note amount of shipping costs to Leyshon Gallery and include payment
for return shipping. We return the shipping charges if your work sells. We
strongly suggest that you insure your work while it is in transit.
All work must be shipped UPS and sent with reusable box and materials. We
will return shipment via UPS and only UPS. Please include all necessary
papers including a resume and artists statement with the work.
