If you all are using the blue northstar square extruders, I use one every
day for handles...yep, it don't like hard clay...but then it does say right
there on the instructions printed on the extruder, rule #2 I think, "USE
SOFT CLAY" right there above "DO NOT SWING ON HANDLE"...related? probably
so!

But, I have found that if the clay is too soft, it doesn't make a smooth
edge when it comes out, it kind of tears.
