Back in my day (July 23, 1975), pottery supply catalogs told you what you
could buy and 99% of the time, the price. If they ran to 32 pages, that
was a lot of stuff.
I just spent 2 days going cover to cover in the Brent and the Axner
catalogs, both 180+ pages not including index or ordering info. These must
represent thousands of hours of work. They contain some of the best
technical and procedural explanations I've seen -- and my day job is
technical writing.
Kudos to both of them.
