I have some 20 mule team Borax and I am trying to figure out if I can =
use it as Boron in glaze recipes (e.g. engobes, slips)?
If so, would it be a direct replacement?
From what I can determine using the Internet, the molecular formula for =
Boron is B and the molecular formula for Borax is B4 Na2 O7. So there =
is soda ash in it. I'm not a chemist. Does B4 mean 4 times the amount =
of Boron? If so, I would divide the weight by 4 for a replacement?
