Next weekend is the Hamilton Potters Guild show. Last year a tall guy
wearing Leiderhosen and a Greek sailors cap from the Standards Committee
juried out my jugs.
Sheila watched him pour a pint of water into my 28 lb jug and try to pour.
Had to really tip the jug to get it to pour. Gee, I wonder why???
so, this year i have a plan. didn't have time to do the 28 pounders so I
made some altered jugs with handbuilt beaked spouts that MAY pour but maybe
not. these are very nice jugs. Human figures really, with a bum. I even
gave them a a crack for the bum. these will drive Fritzie nuts. If he juries
them out, I plan to knock him unconscious, handcuff him and hose down his
Leiderhosen. By the time his wife misses him and calls the police the
Leiderhosen will have started to dry out and shrink. this will severally
affect his voice.
The flaw in the plan is that his wife may never miss him. In this case
being the nice guy that I am, I will have to go and cut off his Leiderhosen.
I'm not sure I'm up to this frightening sight.
Please God, let me reach the standard.
cheers,
Tony

I have a rather unpleasant memory of being forced to wear a pair of
those things, by my parents, when I was a little kid. Aren't they leather,
short and come with built in suspenders? I'm getting an image of someone
scaling a cliff in the Perenes.
Please don't tell me that there is a growing school of thought that
throwing in them will relieve back stress LOL
Responding more frequently than most days.
Daughter home from school with a fever.
It's hot, almost 90 F, and humid, about 90%
How about someone sending us a breath of that cool northern air

Yeah, in German, liederhosen comes out something like "Singing Shorts"!

Hank, also laughing, in Eugene
