Every time we receive a new list of URLs
from Helen, or mention of an especially sprightly site that's worth =
checking out ..... I have the same thought: "Must post and thank Helen =
for the spectacular work she does surfing the web for the rest of us."
I get busy; something else requires my attention; I'm off on a new clay =
tangent that sucks the energy right out of me until=20
the time that I begin to feel "at home" with the new work, which can =
take weeks or months, as many of you know having been in such straits =
yourselves. This time, however, I'm going to say it on this cold, windy =
day in the desert ... Before I return to my new Shino Work .... and =
Before being sidetracked by another Must Do Right Now new-to-me clay =
love.
Thank you, Helen, for your hours&hours, over months&months, of searching =
the internet for sites with great pictures and information that will =
appeal to the clay folk among us, be we sculptors, wheel throwers, =
handbuilders, extrudists, functional, craftspersons, artists or whatever =
designation we may be happily honoring on any given day. Thank you for =
your caring, your concern and your diligence on our behalf.

In the Mojave going for a pizza ..... long drive in; long drive back; =

the hankering is intense enough .....

Dear Joyce,
I truly feel happy when I receive thanks such as your's (and over the past
years, many otherss'.)
I love ceramic work of every sort, and, it seems, would rather surf the web
right now than try to make my own. (I'm not so bad at it, just can't seem
to
get at it.) Tonight I spent at least a couple of hours browsing sites that
came
up because I was searching for Sarah Link, then looking at the Shigaraki
site,
and the University of Waterloo site, searching for the Art Farm, (no site of
its
own), and gazing with awe at the work at the Canadian Clay and Glass
Gallery.
Thanks again for taking the time to write, Joyce.
